Subject: thermocouples

Hi Terry, below is a summary of thermocouples. We have 15 channels; I've indicated which ones need some action taken:
1. 3BPM1; ok
2. 3BPM2; ok
3. 3BPM3 (currently placed on 3C2 collimator); ok
4. 3BPM4: need to place on 3B1 pole face
5. 3BPM5; ok
6. 3BPM6: need to place on 3B2 pole face
7. 3BPM7: need to place on relocated 3BPM4
8. 3BPM8: need to place on beampipe, just upstream of 3B3 (monitor ambient temperature on beamline)
9. 3BPM9: I think this is the one that was not working; repair if possible and place on 3BPM9
10. 3BPM10: I think this is the one that was placed on 3B4 pole face; it can stay there
11. 3BPM11: ok
12. 3WAKE1; ok
13. 3WAKE2; ok
14. Rack 1 in ESA; ok
15. Rack 2 in ESA; ok
(note: thermocouples for 3BPM6-8 are coiled up at the unistrut in front of the relocated 3bpm4 and optics bench)
Let me know if this makes sense and if you can work with son to implement. Will try to see you Wednesday morning. I've also put the detector and cable assembly for the Oregon detector at the end of the hut (stored in a little alcove in the shielding wall); we can discuss it's connection to the din rail.
