Hi Alex,
here my answer/comments to the comments :-P

1) & 2) Fig 4 and some of your nice picture will be perfect I think...
3) Good point. We didn't do such thing. In any case I believe the NMR 
cannot provide a feedback for fast fluctuations (we already discussed 
that!!!)
4) ROOT? I don't know how root is performing this.
5) I believe the fastest magnetic fluctuations are due to the AC 
coupling of the current (in USA 60 Hz!?!?)
6) no idea.
