Thanks Bino and Zen. Michele and Sergey, are you able to analyze this data ok? Anxious to get your comments on the data and performance of the measurements. In particular for stability of the magnet current, magnetic field and agreement of Hall and NMR. Zen won't be in Monday but has left me some info on the trouble he's been having with getting the probe readout to lock in remote control. Looks like the problem is with our PT2025 Teslameter chassis; we have some NIM Teslameter chassis we can use that may solve this problem. I need to check with Zen if the NIM units have all the functionality we need. Cheers, mike

Subject: [esa-t474] Re: Run 1548
Hi all,
I've processed run 1548 and made some plots on the elog.
https://www.hep.ucl.ac.uk/elog//T-474+Magnetic+Measurements/21
you can get the rootfile from there or
http://www.hep.ucl.ac.uk/~bino/magnets/
If everyone is happy with these root files, I will update the online version of Yury's code, so we can start processing the runs back at slac and put them in their usual location under /nfs/slac/g/esa/ilc/root, instead of me sending around each run.
Cheers,
bino

> Why there was only one NMR data record at the start of the 1547 run is a mystery. Somehow the Epics channel connection between the pt2025 program and the DAQ got messed up. I have an Epics channel server process (Labview), which is part of the DAQ set. It is called cas and its function is to bring data from both the magnet and the teslameter programs. During run 1547 the magnet data was making it to the DAQ but NMR data was not. I had to restart the cas program to clear up the program. I do not know what caused the problem.

During run 1547 I had the probe newly purchased in channel B and another probe which was recabled here at SLAC in channel C. The probe that was failing to lock was in channel B. Before I started run 1548 I saw that the pt2025 program was not locking on the signal from the probe in channel B. In fact I could not find the signal operating the teslameter manually. I decided to go to ESA and move the probe from channel C to channel D and the probe from channel B to channel C. Back in the counting house I was now seeing signal from both probes while operating the teslameter manually. Under computer control the pt2025 program was still not able to lock to the signal from the probe now in channel C and was locking just fine on the signal from probe in channel D. All that was done with 140 Amps in the magnet. I sta!

Finally at about 160 Amps the teslameter started locking to the signal from both probes. Why do these NMR components behave like that? No clue. I think that the problem is in the hardware because I see that it takes the teslameter much longer to lock to the signal from probe in channel C than to the signal from the one in channel D, which the teslameter is in local.
